SCTE CABLE-TEC EXPO® 2020
October 12-15, 2020
Start Building the HFC Network of the Future Today
The Hybrid Fiber-Coax network has had a spectacular run over the past 30 years, propelling cable operators to preeminence among worldwide broadband service providers. It’s even won an Emmy! But we’re so convinced that the best is yet to come that we’ve rolled out a long-term evolution initiative, the 2050 Project, designed to assist MSOs in leveraging their extensive investments in HFC for the next 30 years – or longer.
Anchoring the 2050 Project initiative is our GigaXtend next-gen Outside Plant Portfolio, the industry’s only assembly of nodes, amplifiers and hardline passives with a roadmap to frequencies of 3GHz and higher. We’ll be showcasing the GigaXtend portfolio, along with other innovative solutions (see our Innovation Showcase below) at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, which will not be held at a physical location for the first time in the event’s nearly 40-year history. Though virtual it might be, ATX’s 2020 Cable-Tec Expo Experiences is shaping up to be the most meaningful in the company’s history.
Browse our website to get a taste of what we’ve got planned for the upcoming event, including a headlining slot on the Image Zone Stage and the global debut of the latest Visium™ MD Media Gateway, our next-generation bulk media distribution solution that makes it easier than ever to put the profit back in your commercial video services. Fill out the form to the right to set up a meeting with an ATX subject matter expert during the event.
We love Denver. But this year’s Cable-Tec Expo is not without its charms. Not only is it open to everyone – it’s FREE! So, if you haven’t already, register today.
We can’t wait to see you. Sort of.

Imagine Zone Presentation
Start Building the HFC Network of the Future Today
Speaker: Jay Lee, Chief Technology & Strategy Officer, Broadband Access
When: October 13 at 10:30 AM EDT
The 2050 Project is a new initiative from ATX designed to assist MSOs with the long-term evolution of their HFC networks. Its primary objective is to enable MSOs to continue to leverage massive investments in their coaxial cable plants while migrating to fiber in the most cost-effective manner possible. Join ATX’s Jay Lee and other outside plant experts for an examination of factors contributing to the recently released DOCSIS 4.0 specifications, as well as an element-by-element analysis of the readiness of current networks to support spectrum ranges of 1.8GHz and beyond.
BTR Technology Panel Presentation
DOCSIS® ON THE ROAD TO 4.0
Speaker: Jay Lee, Chief Technology & Strategy Officer, Broadband Access
When: October 12 at 2:00 PM EDT
With the release of the first DOCSIS 4.0 specifications, operators are in position to begin to plan the next steps in their 10G strategies. The panelists will discuss where DOCSIS technology stands now and what needs to happen to make 4.0 capabilities available. The panel also will forecast operator requirements and deployment timing.
Broadband Technology Report is plugged into the technology information needs of broadband professionals — this session is a must-attend for SCTE•ISBE Cable-Tec Expo®Virtual Experience attendees.
Agile Innovation Showcase
Inject Innovation into Your Outside Plant
ATX’s GigaXtend™family of next-generation outside plant equipment is an end-to-end lineup of active and passive components designed to enable cable operators to extend the longevity of their HFC networks by 25 years or longer. GigaXtend is the industry’s only portfolio of nodes, amplifiers and hardline passives with a roadmap to 3GHz or higher.
Business-Boosting Commercial Services
ATX’s bulk media distribution solutions — headlined by the VisiumTM MD Media Gateway platform and the UCryptTM family of cable gateways — empower commercial video service providers to increase revenue by enabling hospitality and MDU venues to deliver an unprecedented entertainment experience at a fraction of the complexity and cost of traditional systems and competing solutions.
DAA Your Way
ATX designed its Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) solution portfolio to provide MSOs with the agility and openness to evolve their networks in the direction and at the pace best suited for moving their businesses forward. The DAA portfolio is anchored by the GigaWaveTM digital optics transport platform, the GigaPassTM RF R-PHY video engine.
Next-Gen Channel Insertion
ATX’s innovative channel insertion solutions — including the DVISTM family of solutions and the PD1000TM and PD100TM high-density encoding systems — are more valuable than ever for keeping residents of hospitality, senior care and other commercial facilities up to date and informed through the inserting of locally generated content into their regular television programming.
