ATX has coupled its RF amplifier experience with the latest optical technology in order to provide a line of high performance optical receivers and nodes. Nodes include the following: QFN, QFMN, QFHPN, QHFCN, and QFNJ.



  • Indoor apartment node
  • 750 or 870 MHz bandwidths in power-doubled GaAs technology
  • 1- or 2-way models with 5-42 MHz return path
  • All models accept any single-mode input from 1290nm to 1610nm
  • For the optical return path, 1310nm FP, 1310nm or 150nm DFB, WDM or even CWDM return transmitters are an option
  • Most feature variable slope and gain controls
  • Plug-in hybrids and accessories
  • Internal reverse sweep insertion port


  • Indoor apartment mini node
  • 870 MHz bandwidth with GaAs hybrid technology
  • 1- or 2-way models with 5-42 MHz return path
  • Will accept 1310nm or 1550nm single-mode optical inputs at a nominal 0 dBm light level for best RF performance
  • Gain and slope controls
  • 10 segment LED power meter


  • High power optical node
  • 50-1000 MHz bandwidth
  • 1- and 2-way models with 5-42 MHz return path
  • Compact, high output node for MDU applications
  • Accepts 1310nm or 1550nm optical inputs
  • Top mounted LED panel, which allows control of RF attenuation and tilt and status monitoring functions
  • 1-way model with dual +44 dBmV RF outputs
  • 2-way model with a variety of return transmitter options


  • 2-way mini node
  • Up to 1 GHz bandwidth
  • High quality, cost-efficient mini node to support all traditional HFC services
  • +25 dBmV RF output and 5-42 MHz or optional 5-65 MHz return path
  • Also available is a WDM option to accommodate bi-directional, single-fiber applications
  • Provides multiple RF and optical test points and status LEDs


  • Indoor junior node
  • 200 MHz, 870 MHz and 1 GHz 1-way models
  • Provides an economical 1-way “brick” to deliver cable signals via single-mode fiber
  • Offers “light in/RF out”, with flat RF output levels sufficient to drive multiple TVs or act as a driver for an existing amplifier/distribution system
  • Accepts a wide range of optical inputs at any wavelength from 1290nm to 1610nm, making it extremely versatile
  • Several connector options
  • QFNJ200 is designed to receive reverse signals in the headend hub
