Astound also reports that its deployed Areca modules have required zero maintenance since installation — no truck rolls, no service calls. Even in instances of cabinet break-ins, the modules remain untouched, underscoring the product’s discreet design and low-profile resilience. Building on this success, Astound is now evaluating additional Areca form factors to further advance its energy strategy.

The California Public Utilities Commission’s backup power mandates for high wildfire-risk PSPS zones have intensified the operational demands on communications providers.
