PDXT8: IP Transcoder (4 HD / 8 SD)
The PDXT8 is an advanced IP transcoding system designed for use in digital headends. The unit is ideal for conversion of MPEG-4/H.264 program for MPEG-2 systems, or for conversion of MPEG-2 inputs to MPEG-4 for bandwidth savings. Audio transcoding includes AAC, MP2 and AC-3 – any to any. HD to SD downconversion is also supported. The unit supports 4 HD to 4 HD or 8 HD to 8 SD or 8 SD to 8 SD input streams. The input has 6 ASI input ports and up to 8 IP streams. The IP input can be MPTS or SPTS. Output is available as MPTS on ASI, MPTS on IP or up to 8 IP SPTS streams.
