Finding Your Next-Gen Node Platform

Webinars

October 17, 2024 @ 11AM EDT

Not all nodes are created equal. Many in your current HFC network were designed decades ago, originally optimized for spectrum below 1GHz. With MSOs now requiring HFC nodes that can handle spectrum of 1.2GHz or even 1.8GHz, as well as support a transition to Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) and Passive Optical Networking (PON), cable operators will need to know — sooner rather than later — if their current nodes will be able to handle the multigigabit future, or if they will need to be replaced.

ATX’s latest webinar, Finding Your Next-Gen Node, will help to provide answers to those questions. The presentation takes attendees through a multi-step process to help you determine whether the existing nodes in your HFC network can be cost-effectively upgraded to handle the demands of the next-generation of subscribers or if you will need to find a replacement platform that’s built for the long haul.

Webcast attendees will also get a preview of the ATX GigaXtend™ GS7 1.8GHz Node, a next-generation platform that enables MSOs to cost-effectively extend investments in Cisco© GS7000 nodes well into the future, including the ability to support advanced intelligence, DOCSIS 4.0, and third-party DAA and PON modules.

Expect to learn:

  • Questions to ask node manufacturers about future development plans
  • Must-have capabilities of your next-generation node platform
  • The importance of supporting third-party components in next-gen nodes
  • How the ATX GigaXtend Orchestrator App taps into the advanced intelligence of next-gen nodes to help optimize technician time and minimize configuration errors
