ATLANTA, August 14, 2024 ATX Networks, a global leader in broadband access and media distribution solutions, will highlight the company’s intelligent outside plant portfolio and next-generation energy storage solutions at SCTE® TechExpo 2024, the annual gathering of cable-industry professionals that runs from September 24-26, in Atlanta, GA.

MSOs are strategically positioned to meet future subscriber needs more cost-efficiently and faster than competitors by upgrading their existing networks, which currently deliver world-class broadband services to tens of millions of households. ATX will demonstrate at TechExpo 2024 its commitment to assisting MSOs in improving people’s lives with affordable and reliable broadband through intelligent and innovative technology that extends the utility of previous investments, reduces carbon emissions and is manufactured locally.

SCTE TechExpo provides a forum to showcase how some of the largest communications providers in the world are relying on ATX technology to enable the seamless evolution of the HFC network.

“SCTE TechExpo provides a forum to showcase how some of the largest communications providers in the world are relying on ATX technology to enable the seamless evolution of the HFC network,” said ATX CEO Tom McLaughlin. “ATX next-generation nodes, amplifiers, taps and passives are capable of operating in DOCSIS 3.1 or extended spectrum DOCSIS 4.0 architectures, helping MSOs guard against regrettable spend by providing them with the flexibility to pursue any and all paths toward multigigabit services.”

ATX’s next-gen outside plant portfolio is anchored by GigaXtend™ GMC 1.8GHz HFC Amplifiers, a full family of line extenders, system amplifiers and booster amp, the GigaXtend GS7 1.8GHz Node, the successor to the widely deployed Cisco® GS7000 platform and GigaXtend 2GHz Taps and Passives. ATX GigaXtend amplifiers, the only authorized GainMaker®-compatible products in the industry, and nodes offer MSOs new levels of intelligence, enabling technicians to install and configure actives using GigaXtend Orchestrator, a highly graphical and intuitive software application that speeds and simplifies installation procedures. GigaXtend Orchestrator was recently named a finalist in Light Reading’s Leading Lights Awards for Most Innovative Broadband Product.

Additional ATX access networking solutions to be showcased at the annual cable industry event include GigaWave® Digital Optical Transport equipment, which includes the GigaWave DLX Optical Gateway, the GigaWave DLA-HUB Digital Amplifier and GigaWave Optical Passives. GigaWave gear empowers communications service providers to extend 10Gbps ethernet connections and broadband services deep into unserved and underserved communities, as well as reduces operational costs and improves sustainability through hub consolidation and facilitating the transition to DAA and PON deployments.

ATX will also demonstrate its Areca™ Energy Storage Modules, the company’s next-gen hybrid supercapacitor backup power solutions that are safer, more reliable, greener and more affordable over their lifespans than alternative energy storage mediums. Areca subject matter experts will demonstrate monitoring capabilities that will enable technicians to assess the health and performance of energy storage operations remotely.

ATX booth visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the latest advances of the Visium™ MD Commercial Services Gateways, a next-gen edge-computing and bulk video solution that is the centerpiece of the company’s media distribution ecosystem. ATX will demonstrate the recently introduced Visium MVP, a managed video platform that is optimized for small and medium businesses, including restaurants, sports bars, gyms and doctors’ offices. The end-to-end solution includes the Visium MD Mini Media Gateway, the MVP Command App, which centralizes control of multiple televisions on a connected device, and the Visium Set-Back Box, a low-cost, Pro:Idiom®-compliant security adapter and Interactive Program Guide (IPG). Attendees will also be able to view a demonstration of DVIS™ II, the company’s IP-compatible local channel insertion solution.

Underlining ATX’s technology solutions is its world-class professional services organization, which is overseeing the upgrade of multiple HFC networks in North America. ATX Professional Services offerings include walk-throughs and consultations, design and deployment, material management and logistics, as well as network certification and optimization.

ATX will also participate in SCTE’s Tech Talks at TechExpo, hosting a presentation on Tuesday at 2PM.
